Access control was the largest issue for a national retailer of office products. Our account executives in conjunction with our distributor proposed taking standard products and using them in a functional non-standard way. CellGard™ panel systems were attached to rows of pallet racks which spanned 350' x 35' high. For the aisles of the racking system, 3' wide man doors were installed into 10' sliding doors. This limited access at the end of each pallet rack aisle while providing egress either through the man door or to the whole aisle by sliding the 10' door out of the way. This system has now been installed in 7 of the companies' Distribution Centers.

An Austrian company informed Folding Guard Corporation of their need to furnish a barrier type system for the machinery that they manufactured. The decision was made to utilize Folding Guard's CellGard™ Machine Perimeter Guarding product, so that workers and visitors to a newly constructed manufacturing plant in Texas could be protected from possible harm. Many of the modular design characteristics of CellGard™, including welded wire panels attached to posts made from square tubing, comprised the basis of the system. Access to the cell was accomplished by a 4' wide man door, which was electronically wired to interconnect switches. When opened, the switch would kill power to the machinery making the cell safe for employees. Complying with the latest OSHA and ANSI standards was not a problem for the CellGard™ machine guarding system and Folding Guard was able to achieve the safety requirements needed.
